It looks like the Charleston Municipal Auditorium has booked a couple of shows over the next couple of months –nothing particularly earth shattering and maybe a little shaky.
Item #1 -July 16. The Waylon Jennings Band –a tribute band made up of former members of Jennings’s band and singer Tommy Townsend. There isn’t a lot about them out there and I don’t know how long they were part of his band. This one is at the Municipal Auditorium.
Waylon, of course, will not actually be there –having died almost ten years ago.
Item #2. -August 13. Eddie Griffin and Friends Comedy Explosion (Eddie was in the very precious “Deuce Bigalow” movies).
Of course, he’s not that dude…
This is him.
No word of who Eddie’s friends are going to be.
Honestly, Griffin is funny, but I can’t think of anything he’s done lately and ticket prices look a little steep –ranging from over 40 bucks to over 80 bucks. I don’t know that they can sell it.
